Hours: 36 hours per week, 7pm-7am shift
Location: Chester, PA
Dates: July 23 to October 10, 2026
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics to join our pediatric care team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents while collaborating with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric experience, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across various age groups.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Respond appropriately to pediatric emergencies and escalating patient needs.
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide family-centered care while promoting comfort and emotional support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Pennsylvania (PA) Registered Nurse License or Compact Nursing License
- Minimum 1 year of general pediatric nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Familiarity with pediatric assessment and medication administration
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR
